Our State Fair Is A Great State Fair...

State fairs are a great adventure. Not only do you have the chance to eat lots of great foods, but you can see all kinds of interesting animals and people. We all headed up to the fair this week and had a great time. Thomas and Henry were great troopers and seemed to enjoy themselves as well. It was Henry's first time sitting forward in a stroller (he is usually in his carseat that clicks into a different stroller). You could just see that he was was enjoying taking in all of the sights around him. We borrowed the double stroller from some friends and it was a great decision! Thomas even enjoyed riding in the stroller.
Charlie and Henry were dancing to the Army Band. Henry has become so expressive over the last weeks. He is laughing louder, smiling bigger and is just louder in general. He loves to make noise, blow bubbles and roll over.

Thomas was making pig ears. I think he came home with three different hats...a pig hat, John Deere hat and a corn hat. He also came home with a new John Deere excavator and a Spiderman doll.

Here he is, getting ready to have fun in the Little Farm Hands exhibit. He had fun working in the "play" garden and fields. He also got to drive a little tractor.

Some other big news in our family...Charlie will be changing positions at his current place of employment. For those of you who know us..you know that our schedule is a bit different. For years, Charlie has worked Thursday-Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday as days when he has stayed home with the boys. He has also worked either from 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm. It has been great for childcare, but not always ideal for family time. By the middle of this month, Charlie will begin a new position, where he will work Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm!! We can't wait. It is going to be so wonderful to have quality family time together. The boys will be full time at their daycare now, which we are so happy worked out. They love going to Maja's, so we know it will be an easy adjustment for them. We are looking forward to having evenings, weekends and holidays as a family. YEAH!!
