I get it!

This week, it seems like Thomas all of a sudden "gets" so many things that we are saying. If you ask him to wipe his nose, he grabs his rag/blanket/towel and makes a blowing sound into it with his mouth. If he sees a dog or hears one, he starts panting. Like I mentioned last time, if you mention anything about a bath, diaper change or going to bed, he waddles over to the bottom of the stairs and points up. If you mention eating or being hungry, he walks over and points at his highchair. It's so amazing to see things "clicking" with him. He's so fun to watch.

He is very into his giant legos and sports balls. The picture above is of his own creation. He just loves stacking and stacking and stacking. Of course, then the really fun part is pushing it all over at the end. He can throw any size or shape of ball very well. Tonight, he spent 25 minutes kicking, throwing, rolling and laying on all of the balls. I got some great video footage of it, but my connection is too slow at home to upload it. I'll have to try at grandma and grandpa's house sometime.

He is starting to become a bit more adventurous in his eating. Tonight, he had a cheese quesadilla and he kept dipping it into my Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Soup (V8 Soups...delicious). He thought it was pretty funny and very nummy. When he likes something, he says, "mmmmm," while he's still chewing. He also enjoyed biting meat off of the pork ribs that Charlie smoked yesterday. He's still not too keen on pasta, though, or any kind of meat. We just keep trying things and he usually surprises us every couple of days and all of a sudden likes something.

I almost forgot the most exciting thing of all...he is mobile!!! He is walking pretty well now. He still falls once in a while, but he's getting more and more steady. He puts his hands in the air and walks around with them like that. It must be his way to balance. It's pretty cute. He really seems to love being able to get around so quickly. He always has a big smile on his face.
